The Telcontar and Aircept partnership combines the Aircept Mobile Location Unit™ (MLU) hardware with the power of the Telcontar Universal Telematics Server™ (UTS), an automated Web and telephony service platform that enables consumers and enterprises to track and control their vehicles. The Aircept MLU is a control channel device that allows real-time location information including alarm data, speed information, direction of travel, starter disable and door unlock. Aircept’s multi-capacity harness allows the user to capture additional information such as temperature, hours used, compartment openings and other customer critical information.

The Telcontar UTS “connects people to things®”, enabling users to be notified about, control or track the things that are important to them by providing an automated Web and telephony service platform. Businesses and their customers can be proactively notified via phone, pager or e-mail when a fixed or mobile asset is at risk. The fully automated system readily scales to support millions of users while maintaining speed and reliability.

The Aeris MicroBurst network combines the existing wireless and wireline infrastructures of wireless carriers with proprietary control channel technology to create a North American data network specifically optimized for M2M applications. MicroBurst compliant wireless modems provide reliable wireless data connectivity to remote devices. All data is routed through carrier SS7 networks to the Aeris.net Network Operations Center (NOC) where it is exchanged with the appropriate application solution provider.
