By: PRWEB The purpose of this project is to provide for the earliest possible identification of radiological (in commerce) sources and the monitoring of these radiological sources as they proceed through the supply chain. SeekerNet’s technology allows the various agencies to detect the presence of tagged items and if the container has been breached. Currently, the system has been installed at four participating locations. “In preliminary tests, all four systems are successfully detecting a Type-A radioactive material shipping container that has been outfitted with SeerkNet Remote Sensor Interface active tags,” said Frederick Schultz, program director for Northwest Nuclear, the primary integrator for this project.
